Potsdam has been using the Brandenburg State Administration Portal since the company began six years ago. Today, more than 30,000 companies have been using the paperless portal to place their public bids reaching 500 country and municipalities, noted the Ministry of the Interior and Economy in Potsdam.
“The portal offers a great opportunity for Brandenburg companies to participate in the electronic procurement procedures. In addition, the available information provided is a good introduction to public procurement and the right to bid,” admits Business and Europe Minister Ralf Christoffers who is convinced that the portal presents a great opportunity for Brandenburg companies to participate in the electronic procurement platform.
Germany is unique in its widespread acceptance of grants by the municipalities and state administration.
The Minister of the Interior, Ralf Holzschuher emphasizes, “The State Administration Portal is an important e-government project, because its success extends beyond the cooperation between state and local authorities and includes the economy.” The President of the Potsdam Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Beate Fernengel confirms, “The state bids have been implemented through our contracting office and on the part of the companies and in support of the users, we have taken their suggestions seriously.”
