The Bundesanzeiger Verlag, known and established for its activities in the publishing of procurement law amongst others, and cosinex, a pioneer in e-procurement software, have set up a joint venture: the Deutsche Vergabeportal. The goal is to create a central point of contact for transparent public procurement in Germany.
With an contract volume of over 260 billion euros a year, the state is by far the largest contracting authority in Germany. Digitalization has arrived here as well: More and more authorities conduct their procurement and tendering electronically. Building on their expertise and through pooling their specific competences, the two procurement experts set out to create a comfortable and cost effective electronic tendering platform.
Content meets technology
Through the combination of their know-how and their common possibilities, a Germany-wide procurement platform and single point of contact for public procurement is to be set up. Public authorities may simply use the tendering platform as a cloud service without needing to buy software or operate complex solutions. Companies can browse tenders for free.
"We want to move the market. With the great software provided by cosinex, our professional publishing and information services as well as our professional publishing sales power, we have a good chance,“ says Fred Schuld, managing director of the Bundesanzeiger Verlag.

The e-procurement platform for electronic tendering for both the public sector as well as tender-searching companies is now available at www.dtvp.de. The Deutsche Vergabeportal has already proven itself with many public authorities and well over 4,000 registered companies and will be expanded in the coming months.
