Due to the orderly contractual expiration of an agreement with d-NRW AöR, the former d-NRW Betriebs-GmbH & Co. KG renamed as GovTech Services by end of 2019, beginning of 2020 respectively. Thus, the GovTech group is responding to various needs for support and services in the field of digitalisation public authorities‘ processes and the foreseeable upheavals concerning the technical and operational landscape all over Germany – a trend that is already perceptible and will still grow within the next years.
Citizens, public authorities as well as enterprises are facing substantial challenges when – accumulating – the number of personnel in town halls and departments is downwarding and the forthcoming digital transformation of analogous processes in public administration is contemporaneously increasing. Within the GovTech group, this recent corporate realignment enhances the existing field of Consulting and Services. Established business relations, contracts and/or contact persons are not affected by these primarily formal changes. Based on a current framework agreement stipulated with d-NRW GSB (Gesellschaft für Softwareentwicklung und Beratung), already assigned in September 2017, the group has successfully continued to develop sophisticated technical solutions for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and d-NRW AöR. Additionally, in the second half of 2019, a consortium lead-managed by cosinex, has awarded a framework agreement for Java-based developments which will now gradually be operated in cooperation with its partners, ISB AG, Opitz Consulting GmbH and topitservices GmbH.
Both of the aforementioned calls for tender are elementary for the government’s long-term strategy of digitalisation in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia; encompassing basic projects like for example the so-called Online-Zugangsgesetz (“OZG”; i.e. for extensive and wide-ranged interaction between citizens and public authorities) or the realisation of projects in compliance with guidelines of the “IT-Planungsrat” (a committee on federal level to harmonise basic technical development projects between the 16 federal states), for and within the largest and most populated state of North Rhine-Westfalia managed and controlled by d-NRW AöR (www.d-nrw.de).
