A few days ago, Cologne was connected to the d-NRW company’s reporting registry. Now reports from the so-called “power-users”can be collected electronically, gathering data about the citizens of Cologne. With this connection, 75% of the residents in North Rhine-Westphalia can be polled.
Since January 1, 2014, the electronic register for citizens (eMA/ZEMA) has been working in cooperation with North Rhine-Westphalian partners d-NRW, KRZN, krz and the Institute for Municipal Data Processing in Bavaria (AKDB). The companies are solely responsible for the public sector and security remains a priority. Data is transported between the participating devices via the secure DOI network.
